Most espresso content online assumes you already know what you're doing. The forums are full of jargon, the YouTube videos start with "grind retention" before explaining what a portafilter is, and half the buying guides are quietly sponsored by the gear they're ranking.
Welcome to Espresso started because beginners deserve better than that. You shouldn't need three hours of research just to figure out what to buy first.
What we do
We write buying guides and how-to articles aimed at people who are new to home espresso. Everything is written in plain English, with prices, trade-offs, and honest opinions — not marketing copy.
We don't accept free products, sponsored placements, or paid reviews. The gear we recommend is gear we'd actually use.
